Amended National Show Entry Pack

The National Show Entry pack that was uploaded to the website recently has been amended. Please ensure that you have the correct pack, which is now available on the Home Page.

Stallion Service Raffle

Congratulations to Debbie Pearson of Middle L Appaloosa Stud on winning the Stallion Service Raffle. Debbie's prize is the choice of frozen semen from either Mr Cool Hand Luke or Dynamic Kid To A Te, both Stallions stand at stud in the US and are World Champions in their own right and World Champion Producers.

National Show Dates Announced

The 40th National Appaloosa Championships will be held from 24th March to 3rd April at Dubbo Showground. Our venue for the 2012 National Show has changed due to date availability and timing with other National Shows.

Program and Entry forms will be available in the coming months.

Entry forms and information for the 2012 National Appaloosa Futurity is available on the Forms Page or through the Office.

Membership for First Time Owners

Have you just purchased your first Appaloosa, never been a member of the AAA before and are wanting to either Register it or Transfer the Ownership into your name?

If you answered yes, then you may not be aware that you are eligible for First Time Owners Membership to the Association.

 Regional Appaloosa Club Reminder

  • Youth Must wear an Approved Safety Helmet (AS/NS 3838) when riding on the grounds of a show and when schooling and competing over fences.
  • Walk/Jog Competitors are allowed the option of dummy spurs. Rowelled spurs or spurs that are excessively long are disallowed.
  • The Gate in Walk/Jog Trail Classes is an optional obsticale.
  • Walk/Jog Competitors may use 2 hands on the reins regardless of the horses' headgear, however you are not allowed to change once you have entered the arena for juding.
  • In Leadline events, the horse must be led and controlled by an adult who is over 18yrs of age.
  • Youth are not permitted to Handle/Ride/Exhibit Colts/Stallions of any age  at AAA Ltd Approved Shows.

Point Recording System

All points gained at AAA Ltd Approved Shows will be automatically recorded free of charge. However, if you would like to be eligible for a End of Year High Point Award, you must pay a nomination fee of $10.00 per Horse/Rider or Handler combination, per Category. A full list of the categories and the rules is available on the Forms Page.  

End of Year High Point Award Sponsorship

If you are interested in becoming a Sponsor of a End of Year High Point Award, you can for $200.00 per Award. This is a great opportunity to promote your Stud, Regional Appaloosa Club or Business.
